Another loose nappy in the house...

I finally got Liv's hair finished.  Whew.  It was a non-stop weekend project and my hands got cramped up again, but at least I don't have to do it ever again.  I don't have any pics, I wish I'd taken some, but I will post some nostalgic pictures of her with her locs.Curly_locs Dscf0642 Olivias_ponytail She's already picked out some afro puff/cornrow styles, but right now, her hair is in a set of box braids.

I detangled my hair yesterday for the first time in...I'm ashamed to say.  Needless to say it was a pretty painful experience.  I lost a ball of hair that was about the size of a golf ball. I hate the detangling process, but I can't let it get that bad again.

I made a few cheapie hair purchases this week.  Some Garnier Fructis soft curl cream, a throwback jar of cholesterol conditioner and a bottle of John Freida Dream Curls spray.  I wish I could return all three to the store, none of them worked.  I suppose I should give the John Freida another chance, but it made my hair feel dry and crunchy--as did the cholesterol.  I only bought the cholesterol because it used to work so well when my hair was relaxed.  Oh well, you live and you learn.

Small little update...

I've been abusing my hair lately, daily co-washing so I can alternate between puffs and wash & go's, not even an attempt at detangling.  I finally slathered on a Humectress/Giovanni Magnetic conditioner mix, it was still difficult to put in some medium twists.  So tangled.  Won't be doing that again.  Tomorrow, I think I may try and do some Bantu knots, I have an aphogee treatment scheduled for next weekend (can't believe it's been six weeks already) and I really think I may want to put in some box braids.  My final (yea!!!) semester of school is in session and I do NOT have time to style my hair (not that I'm all that good at styling anyway).  As an added bonus, box braids is a protective style and maybe, just maybe the back of my hair will try and catch up with the rest.  I may even try to take my vitamins--we'll see.

Liv has about 15 locs left.  I have been so lazy about her head, I'm going to wash it tomorrow and see what can be done.  I gotta bang that out, she can't walk around like that much longer.  She's getting impatient with the process and I can't really blame her, the fatter locks at the front of her head take a LONG time to pick out.

I tightened Bri's locs again.  Her locs are so cute!  Compared to Liv's they're really thin, but they suit her well.  Dscf2354 Dscf2353
